Stade Rennais FC are reported to have turned down a €23m bid from Fulham FC in their quest to sign Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal (20), according to The Athletic.

Whilst it cannot be ruled out that the Cottagers may decide to make a fresh bid in the coming days, the London club’s management is nevertheless exploring all other options available to it. The main reason for this is the intransigence of the Rouge et Noir board, which are demanding a sum far higher than that offered by their English counterparts in order to agree to part with their centre-back.

Regarded as one of Stade Rennais’s most promising young players, Aït Boudlal made his first appearances for the first team during the 2025-26 season. His rise to prominence was marked in particular by his 20 appearances in Ligue 1, including no fewer than 17 starts.

A Moroccan international (one cap), the young centre-back did not, however, feature in the World Cup with the Atlas Lions.
