This is exactly the sort of report that gets you thinking about what might be possible under Frank Lampard. Mudryk has had a difficult spell, but there is a serious player in there and sometimes a fresh environment is what unlocks everything. If Coventry really are in the mix, then it speaks volumes about the ambition around the club right now.

The biggest reason for encouragement for Coventry Fans, is Lampard himself. He knows the player, knows the personality and will have a clear idea of whether Mudryk could thrive in his system. That matters. Coventry would not be taking a blind gamble here, they would be moving for someone the manager understands.

There is also a footballing upside that is easy to see. Coventry supporters want players who can turn a match in seconds, carry the ball, commit defenders and inject real pace into the attack. Mudryk does all of that. If he arrived with a point to prove, the energy around the CBS Arena would be huge.
