It was a massively disappointing conclusion to the season for the Rossoneri, who had spent much of the 2025-26 campaign in second place in Serie A only to finish outside the Champions League positions, which led to the immediate departures of head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Nottingham Forest have offered the former Milan director a position within their hierarchy.

Among the most high-profile players that Moncada brought to Milan during his time as technical director are goalkeeper Mike Maignan, defender Pierre Kalulu and midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
