According to a report from SPORT, Sevilla are growing increasingly confident about signing Barcelona’s, Ansu Fati and they have developed a strategic plan that they believe will bring the player to their squad.

It is no secret that the future of the 21-year-old is currently one of the biggest uncertainties. Despite his preference to stay with the Catalan giants, the club’s management has yet to solidify his place.

He will have a chance to prove his worth during the training camp in the United States, where he needs to showcase his fitness and capabilities. However, beyond this opportunity, his future remains unclear.

Barcelona’s Dilemma: Sell or Keep Ansu Fati?

Barcelona’s ideal scenario is to sell Ansu permanently. The club is facing financial pressures and sees him as a valuable asset that could bring in much-needed funds.

Unfortunately for them, the main interest comes from teams in less competitive leagues, particularly in Saudi Arabia. The player, however, is not interested in moving to such leagues.

If he is to leave Barcelona, he wants to choose a club where he can continue to grow and play competitively. This preference complicates matters for Barcelona, as it could mean a lower financial return.

Sevilla, on the other hand, have been quietly working to convince Ansu, who is also wanted by Fenerbahce, to join their ranks. The club’s new coach, Garcia Pimienta, has laid out a compelling vision for him, positioning him as a key player and leader within the team.

A significant part of Sevilla’s plan involves surrounding Fati with familiar faces. The club has requested the loan of Ilaix Moriba and they are also pushing to sign Carles Alena.

Both players have connections with Ansu from their time together at Barcelona, which could make the transition smoother and more appealing for him.

But there are problems

Despite their optimism, Sevilla face financial challenges in this pursuit. Ansu’s salary is high, and Sevilla might struggle to cover even half of it.

This financial strain means that Barcelona might have to consider the benefits of loaning him out instead of selling him outright. Keeping Fati without giving him playing time would only devalue him further, whereas a successful stint at Sevilla could restore his market value.

At present, regardless of certain challenges, all signs indicate that Sevilla might have the upper hand in securing Ansu’s signature.

Their strategic planning, combined with the promise of a leadership role and a supportive environment, makes their offer very attractive.

While financial details need to be ironed out, the potential benefits for Fati in terms of playing time and development make this a promising move.
