Ritsu Doan will not be heading to Saudi Arabia, with his proposed transfer now off.

FAZ reports that the Japanese international’s switch has collapsed. Kicker also says the deal is off.

Earlier on Monday it was reported he was poised to sign for Al-Ittihad from Eintracht Frankfurt before the window closed.

The 28-year-old is understood to have rejected the move for personal reasons and will remain with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Doan only joined Die Adler from SC Freiburg last summer.
