According to Coluna Do Fla, River Plate drew the ire of Flamengo supporters on Sunday after posting a Thiago Almada clip set to 'Pense em Mim' during a 3-1 win over Independiente Rivadavia.
Almada glided past defenders then teed up Thomas Galván to score. The club shared the move on their channels.
Flamengo fans flooded the comments and revisited the 2019 Copa Libertadores final in Lima. River led and had one hand on the trophy before a late turnaround.
Gabigol equalised at 43 minutes of the second half. At 46 minutes he struck again for 2-1, sealing the title.
Flamengo had pursued Almada in August as he prepared to leave Atlético de Madrid. The midfielder instead returned to Argentine football, signing for River for 20 million euros, about R$ 116 million at the time.
Previously with Botafogo in Brazil, he now wears 23 at River. Since joining he has played six matches, started five, and scored once in a 3-2 win over Banfield. He was also directly involved in Galván’s goal in the victory.
