CD Castellón have signed striker Rubén Catalá for the B team, while Carlos Segura will remain amid speculation linking him with Nàstic de Tarragona.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Catalá arrives from CD Alcoyano in Group three of the Segunda Federación, where he has been a regular and scored four goals this season. He signs with a B-team registration and could debut this Sunday against Atlético Baleares at Gaetà Huguet if he convinces coach Óscar López.
The forward turns 23 today and has played 17 matches, totalling 1,153 minutes for Alcoyano this campaign.
It is confirmed that the forward from Onda, Carlos Segura, the team’s leading scorer with 12 goals, will not join Nàstic and will stay with CD Castellón B until the end of the season.
Last term Catalá featured for La Unión Atlético, making 20 appearances, and earlier came through Sevilla’s academy and played for Montijo. He developed at Levante’s youth sides and the reserve team in the Segunda Federación and Tercera RFEF.
