Rubén Iranzo will become Real Zaragoza’s 14th signing for the 2026-27 season after Valencia approved his move. The centre-back is moving on a free transfer, with Valencia retaining a percentage of his rights.

According to AS, he trained at Paterna this morning. Head coach Carlos Corberán had weighed up his options at right-back, a role Iranzo has covered for the first team, amid Justin de Haas’s injury.

He will sign a three-year contract with Zaragoza and the plan is for him to train on Tuesday afternoon.

Iranzo is 23, stands 1.82 metres tall and is an Under-19 international.

He could even start Sunday’s league opener, with Diego González a serious doubt after suffering a concussion in Friday’s friendly against Bilbao Athletic.
