Ryan Luka joins Al-Ittifaq in United Arab Emirates | OneFootball

Flamengo academy graduate Ryan Luka has joined Al-Ittifaq in the United Arab Emirates and will share a dressing room with Mario Balotelli and Douglas Costa. According to Coluna Do Fla, the forward arrives after a stint with Nacional of Amazonas.

He terminated his deal with Nacional in order to sign for the United Arab Emirates club, meaning Flamengo will not receive money via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism. The move therefore cost Al-Ittifaq nothing.

Nacional agreed to retain 30% of his economic rights with an eye on a future sale. The former Flamengo prospect is 22.

Ryan Luka helped Nacional win promotion from Serie D to Serie C this year, a first for the Manaus side, and the Campeonato Amazonense after a 10-year wait. He made 23 appearances, scoring three goals and supplying two assists.

At Flamengo he lifted the Carioca Under-15 title and the Brazilian championships at Under-17 and Under-20, and made four senior appearances after being named in Rogério Ceni’s squads. He joined Flamengo at 13, left in 2023, then signed for Fortaleza and had spells with Samgurali Tskaltubo in Georgia and Isola Capo Rizzuto in Italy before moving to Amazonas.
