SAFiel will engage every candidate in Corinthians’ 28 November presidential election, pledging neutrality while pitching its plan to transform the club into a Sociedade Anônima de Futebol amid financial strain.

“Once registrations are filed, SAFiel will contact all candidates to create technical working groups, answer questions and refine the project, including André Castro if he confirms,” said Carlos Teixeira, speaking to Meu Timao.

There are five pre-candidates: José Augusto Mendes, Sérgio Janikian, André Negão, Rozallah Santoro and André Castro. Mendes backs a SAF discussion and has signed a commitment to analyse and negotiate with SAFiel. The group says it will not back any slate or candidate.

On two June, SAFiel submitted a non-binding proposal to president Osmar Stabile. It sets out fan-limited voting equity, plans to raise between R$ 2.5 billion and R$ 3 billion, reversibility safeguards and R$ 600 million in royalties over 10 years.

Teixeira warned the winner taking office on one January 2027 faces transfer bans, advanced revenues, tight credit and delayed wages. “It is ungovernable without a concrete plan, and SAFiel could be a tool for those who want it,” he said.

Corinthians carry debt near R$ 3 billion and a R$ 278.705 million deficit across the first seven months of 2026, with payment delays and youth stipends late in June. Three transfer bans, about R$ 21.5 million, concern sums owed to Philadelphia Union for José Martínez, Midtjylland for Charles and a R$ 8 million CNRD instalment.

Candidate registrations run from Thursday one October to 15 October at 17:00, on working days from nine to 12 and 14 to 17.
