SAFiel sends 56-page answers to Corinthians over SAF plan | OneFootball

SAFiel has sent a 56-page response to Corinthians, meeting Friday's deadline for answers on its plan to turn the club into a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol.

According to Meu Timao, the document addresses 108 formal questions from the board, presidents of the Conselho Deliberativo, Cori and Conselho Fiscal, councillors and members.

Further questions from Voz Corinthiana and Família Corinthiana arrived late, with replies due next week.

The sides held a first official meeting in late August at Parque São Jorge to outline the non-binding proposal first presented in June. Corinthians had also sent a paper signed by president Osmar Stabile, Cori chief Miguel Marques and Conselho Deliberativo head Romeu Tuma Júnior, listing reservations.

Those doubts were added to 105 queries from vice-president Armando Mendonça. Stabile said he would sign a binding document if funds were presented to clear Neo Química Arena, and on Monday SAFiel sent a letter accepting that and requesting an urgent meeting.

The proposal targets R$ two point five billion, rising to R$ three billion, to settle football debts, invest in sport, improve infrastructure, strengthen governance and the social club. It foresees supporter participation via investments from R$ 250 with per-CPF caps, and external investors only through non-voting shares if needed.

Identity safeguards bar changes to name, symbols, colours and crest, and allow Corinthians to regain control in cases of essential breaches or serious mismanagement. Any deal would need statutory approvals, independent due diligence, regulatory sign-offs and a members’ General Assembly, with a gradual timeline completing after one year.
