Santos announce signing of Rodinei on contract to December 2027 | OneFootball

Santos announced on Wednesday the signing of right-back Rodinei from Olympiacos, on a contract through December 2027. The club said in a statement that the deal has been completed.

He secured a release from the Greek side with just under one year left on his deal, allowing a free return to Brazil. He expressed delight at joining, adding he is motivated, aware of the responsibility and hopes to deliver with his team-mates for the supporters.

The move was requested by head coach Cuca to strengthen a position that currently has only Igor Vinicius available. Gabriel Menino, a midfielder who can cover at right-back, is injured.

Rodinei is the second arrival of this transfer window, following the signing of midfielder Arthur, who was unattached after a spell at Grêmio.

He began at Avaí, then featured for Marcílio Dias-SC, Corinthians, Penapolense-SP, Crac-GO and Ponte Preta before hitting his peak at Flamengo. He also played for Internacional and had been with Olympiacos since 2022.
