Santos made it four consecutive wins in the Campeonato Brasileiro after seven years, beating Remo 2-1 at the Mangueirão on Saturday in round 28.

Their previous four-game league streak came in 2019 under Jorge Sampaoli, during November near the run-in. That sequence featured home wins over Bahia and Botafogo, and away victories at Avaí and Goiás. Santos finished that season second, behind Flamengo.

Santos sit eighth on 38 points, seven adrift of the Libertadores qualifying places and 10 above the relegation zone.

Their next fixture is against São Paulo on 2 October at 20:00, a rescheduled match from the 21st round of the Brasileiro.
