Santos duo leave Ponte Preta without debut, João Neto also departs amid transfer bans | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Ponte Preta have lost three recent signings before they could play, with Santos loanees Alex Nascimento and Enzo Boer departing and forward João Neto also moving on after an overseas offer.

The trio were among 11 recruits in the window but none debuted, as the club remain unable to register players due to three transfer bans, two at FIFA and one at the CNRD.

The club have confirmed Nascimento’s exit. The centre-back has an offer from Saudi Arabia and is working to finalise paperwork to continue his career abroad.

Boer remains under contract with Santos until July 2028 after renewing this season, and is likely to be loaned out again. Given the registration bans, Neto was released to negotiate an overseas move.

Their exits leave eight reinforcements still training while they await a resolution to the bans. They are Douglas Marques, William Bahia, Jota, Diogo Silva, Hiago Ribeiro, Otávio, Cesinha and David Braw.

There was further concern after a 2-0 defeat to Ceará at Castelão. Left-back Kevyson, also on loan from Santos, suffered a knee injury and will undergo tests in the coming days. The club are awaiting the results before commenting.

Head coach Márcio Zanardi had warned of limited options for the next match. Ponte Preta face Náutico on Friday at 19:30 at Moisés Lucarelli in the 22nd round. They are bottom with nine points from 21 rounds and are 15 matches without a win. The record is ABC’s 19 in 2015.
