According to Diario Do Peixe, Sereias da Vila have terminated the contracts of defender Emily Apolinário and forward Kauany Rodrigues. The decision was registered in the BID (Boletim Informativo Diário da CBF) on Monday, 27.
Both deals were valid until December, but after turning 21 they exceeded the youth age limit and had no space in the senior squad, so Santos opted for rescission.
Emily joined in 2021. The following year she made two appearances in the Brasileiro Sub-17, then featured twice in the Copinha, scored once in three Paulista Sub-20 outings and played 10 times in the Brasileiro Sub-20 the season after.
In the year before last she played five Copinha matches, nine in the Paulista Sub-20 and nine in the Brasileiro Sub-20. Last year she added two Copinha games, seven in the Paulista Sub-20 and five in the Brasileiro Sub-20. From São Caetano do Sul and developed at Inter de Limeira, she turned 21 in February and did not feature this year.
She posted a farewell on Instagram, reflecting on five years of learning, growing stronger and thanking team-mates and staff, saying she leaves content while staying true to herself.
Kauany arrived last year for the Sereinhas, registering five Copinha outings and two goals in nine Paulista Sub-20 matches. After a June birthday she could still play once in this year’s Brasileiro Sub-20. She previously had spells with Sport in 2023 and 2024 and has not commented on social media.
