Santos have extended right-back Davizinho’s contract to 31 July 2031, with a release clause of around 100 million euros, about R$ 600 million.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the 18-year-old, whose full name is Davi Fernandes, signed his first professional deal in May to January 2029 and has since become a senior option under coach Cuca.
The new agreement awaits registration on the CBF’s BID. He arrived at the club as a winger, having previously played at full-back, and is in his first under-20 season.
Since March, two clubs from Portugal’s top flight have shown interest in the youngster.
For the first team he has appeared against Macará in both legs of the Sul-Americana round of 16, and against Grêmio and Vitória in the Brasileirão.
Fernandes joined Santos in September 2024, featuring in extraofficial tournaments such as the Brasil Soccer Cup Under-16, after impressing for Boavista-RJ.
The club have also renewed centre-back João Alencar and midfielder Samuel Pierri on the same 2031 timeline.
His record reads 1 goal in 12 Paulista Sub-17 games in 2025, plus 2 appearances in the Copa do Brasil Sub-17 and 3 in the Brasileiro Sub-17. In 2026 he has 1 goal in 21 Brasileiro Sub-20 matches, along with 2 outings in the Brasileirão and 2 in the Sul-Americana.
