Seko Fofana returns to Porto on season-long loan with no option to buy | OneFootball

Porto have announced the return of Seko Fofana on a season-long loan, with no option to buy.

The 31-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder was not central to Franck Haise's plans at Rennes. He remains under contract at Roazhon Park until 2029 after a €20m move in 2025.

Fofana previously joined Porto on loan from February to May last season. He now returns to the Portuguese champions for a full campaign.

He made 18 appearances and scored three goals in that short stint, the first arriving within minutes of his debut. That impact helped prompt the club to bring him back.

This time he will have the chance to take part in his first Champions League campaign. He has 34 caps for Ivory Coast.
