There have also been some developments in FC Bayern’s youth program this summer. Numerous talented players have left the record champions, while other young players continue to fight for their big break in Munich. Maycon Cardozo and Tim Binder, in particular, currently enjoy the trust of the club’s management.

While FC Bayern sold a few young talents this summer, Maycon Cardozo and Tim Binder are expected to stay in Munich. The two wingers apparently made a lasting impression during preseason training. As Sky reports, the record champions do not want to let the duo go, despite several interesting loan offers.

Both Maycon Cardozo and Tim Binder are expected to continue training regularly with the first team. This gives the two young players the opportunity to prove themselves for greater responsibilities in the long term.

Cardozo is only 17 years old and is considered one of the most promising offensive talents at the Bayern Campus. At 19, Binder is already a bit further along in his development, though he is currently sidelined with a torn muscle fiber. Both can play on the wings and bring an intriguing skill set to the team.

A loan move is apparently not on the table at the moment. Instead, the two youngsters are expected to gain playing experience with the U23 and U19 teams, respectively, while training with Vincent Kompany as often as possible.

Bayern has parted ways with several young talents

It’s quite remarkable that the Munich club is deliberately pursuing a different strategy with Cardozo and Binder. Several young players have already left FC Bayern this summer.

With Noel Aseko, Lovro Zwonarek, Maurice Krattenmacher, Armindo Sieb, and Jonah Kusi-Asare, the record champions have sold a total of five young players from their own youth academy. The transfers brought in over 20 million for the Munich club.

In addition, Felipe Chavez has been loaned to 1. FC Magdeburg. This is significantly changing the makeup of the record champions’ youth programs. At the same time, the club is continuing to work on bringing its most promising young talents closer to the professional ranks.

For Cardozo and Binder, however, staying in Munich does not automatically mean a direct move to the professional squad. Competition for the offensive positions is fierce.

Nevertheless, both players are being given an important opportunity. Through regular training under Kompany, they can gain experience at the highest level every day. At the same time, appearances with the U23 and U19 teams are intended to ensure that their development doesn’t stall.
