Sevilla make approach to sign Rangers star also wanted by West Ham – exclusive

Spanish side Sevilla have joined West Ham in the race to sign Rangers midfielder Connor Barron, Hayters understands.

Hayters previously reported that Barron is of interest to West Ham, with the club’s new director of player recruitment Nils Koppen having previously signed the midfielder during his time as technical director at Rangers.

But Sevilla have now also expressed an interest in the 23-year-old as they look to strengthen in midfield.

Barron has attracted significant attention from clubs across Europe this summer, with Italian side Bologna having already made an offer for the Scotland international.

Rangers have so far resisted approaches for the former Aberdeen midfielder, however.

Barron joined Rangers from Aberdeen in 2024 and has since made more than 70 appearances for the Ibrox club across all competitions.
