Sevilla’s recruitment budget will focus on a goalkeeper and a centre-forward unless major sales change the picture. The sporting department is operating under austerity, leaning on free transfers and loans within a strict salary cap.

ABC de Sevilla reports that the club envisage spending money only on those two roles this summer. Both areas carry their own market complications.

The hierarchy recognise how much last season’s survival owed to Odysseas Vlachodimos, whose saves secured vital points. The plan is to add a reliable goalkeeper, although funds must be raised first.

Keeping the Greece international would be the ideal scenario, but Newcastle United’s valuation and the player’s high wages are major obstacles. Diego Conde has emerged as the preferred alternative and is keen on the move. Villarreal are seeking close to two million euros, while RC Deportivo de La Coruña have joined the chase.

Up front, options range widely, with experienced Joselu Mato viewed as an ideal opportunity as a free agent after leaving Al-Gharafa SC.

Another priority track is winger Adrián Liso, who would only arrive if cash is generated. Real Zaragoza want a permanent deal of about three million euros and are not considering another loan.

In parallel, Sevilla are working to extend Alexis Sánchez after he joined from Udinese on the minimum top-flight salary. An improved one-year offer is being prepared without breaching the wage limit.
