Cesar Peixoto insists Wolves do not need drastic change to tighten up at the back before Sunday’s trip to Sheffield United. According to ExpressAndStar.com, his side have shipped 10 goals in five Championship matches, six of them in the last two.
The head coach argued several concessions were outstanding finishes from the edge of the box, including a deflected strike at West Ham, while a penalty and an individual error by Jackson have also hurt them. He accepts Wolves must close shooters quicker, compress their lines and be more compact.
Peixoto was unhappy with the second half of the 2-2 draw at Blues and wants smarter game management. He said the team need to be stronger in duels and, at times, take tactical fouls to halt momentum.
Hosts Sheffield United are a place and a point above Wolves. The boss is expected to stick with the same back four, with Kieran Trippier likely to make the squad but not start after returning to training.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde could feature for the first time this season following a hamstring injury, while Rafiki Said is due back in training next week. Peixoto is keen to accelerate returns but will heed medical advice to avoid setbacks.
