Souza bids farewell to Santos after Tottenham move | OneFootball

Left-back Souza has said goodbye to Santos on social media as he heads to England after 10 years at the club.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Tottenham have bought Souza for 15 million euros. Santos held 75% of his economic rights, but he waived his entitlements, so the club will receive 100% of the fee.

In his message, he said it was time for a new challenge after an intense year marked by growth and resilience. He thanked Santos supporters for their backing, adding that he leaves with his head held high and gratitude for everything he experienced.

Enquiries had arrived since the second half of 2025. Barcelona and Bayern München monitored his progress, while formal offers came from clubs in the Netherlands and other European leagues.

None of those negotiations advanced until the English bid, paving the way for his departure from Vila Belmiro.
