Mostafa Mohamed struck in the ninth minute with a left-footed drive from outside the box, putting Nantes ahead in a Ligue 1 tie that finished 1-1 against Brest.

Mohamed set the tone early, taking Francis Coquelin's square pass and drilling low into the bottom left. His movement off the front line gave Nantes a direct outlet and drew defenders into duels.

After the restart he slipped Dehmaine Tabibou in for a central effort that was blocked (49.). Later, the forward fashioned space on the right of the area but saw a left-footed shot charged down (76.).

He finished with two attempts, three aerial duels won and five ball recoveries, a blend that underlined his hold-up work and threat in behind. The Egypt striker also won three fouls, relieving pressure when Brest pushed on.

Because Nantes used him as an early reference point, his runs between centre-backs disrupted Brest's shape and let Les Canaris play higher, controlling key phases before the late twist.

Les Canaris visit Paris Saint-Germain next. Brest host Lens.
