‘Still Waiting’ – Club Ready To Sign Tottenham Talent, Need Spurs’ Sign-off | OneFootball

Bundesliga side 1.FC Koln are ‘still waiting’ for Tottenham Hotspur’s final approval to sign talented winger Mikey Moore on loan.

Moore spent last season on loan at Rangers after joining from Tottenham, with the Ibrox side beating Championship clubs to secure his signature.

The 18-year-old needed time to settle in Scotland, but gradually established himself as an important member of the Rangers squad as the campaign progressed.

Former Rangers striker Gordon Dalziel was impressed by Moore’s displays, particularly praising the winger for dealing with the pressure that came with playing for the Gers.

Moore has returned to Tottenham following the end of his loan spell at Ibrox and appears set to leave on another loan spell.

The winger first emerged as a target for Koln towards the end of last month, but it was initially suggested that a deal was not ‘financially feasible’ for Effzeh.

However, it was suggested last week that the Bundesliga side had emerged as the ‘big favourites’ to sign the Spurs attacker on loan.

Nothing has happened since then though and it has emerged that, on Koln’s part, the deal is basically done.

According to German journalist Marlon Irlbacher, Koln are ‘still waiting’ for final approval from Tottenham to secure the signature of Moore.

It has been suggested that both parties are clear regarding the loan terms.

Borussia Dortmund were also interested in the 19-year-old, but were unwilling to pursue a straight loan deal, with the Bundesliga side reluctant to act as a feeder club.

It remains to be seen when Spurs will give the green light for Moore to join Koln this summer.

Another Tottenham talent tipped to leave the N17 this summer is Souza, who is deemed a priority target for FC Porto.

Roberto De Zerbi though rates him highly and the jury is out on whether Porto will succeed.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites are trying to bolster their attack and have ‘intense interest’ in Monaco attacker Folarin Balogun, with Tottenham making their move as they line up a €60m swoop.
