Sunderland have appointed Jack Bewley as a first-team analyst under Régis Le Bris, adding to the Academy of Light staff.
According to Sunderland Echo, Bewley arrives after a first-team analyst internship at Rochdale in 2025-26, plus earlier set-piece work with Norwich City and performance analysis experience with FC Marshalls.
He studied Science and Football at Liverpool John Moores University, achieving a 2:1. The role will run alongside an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis with the University of Worcester.
The move comes as Sunderland continue to build their football operation following promotion back to the Premier League. The club have advertised a senior analyst post to deepen resources in their analysis department.
While the Black Cats have punched above their weight this season, there is recognition that top-flight football demands greater staffing, infrastructure and preparation.
Le Bris’ side face Chelsea at the Stadium of Light this weekend, with a place in Europe at stake.
