Sunderland have appointed Jack Bewley as a first-team analyst under Régis Le Bris as the club reshapes its Academy of Light operation following promotion to the Premier League.

Bewley said in a post that he had accepted the role and would combine it with an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis at the University of Worcester.

He studied Science and Football at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating with a 2:1. His experience includes a first-team analyst internship at Rochdale in 2025-26, a set-piece analyst stint at Norwich City and performance analysis work with FC Marshalls.

The Black Cats are bolstering departments across the club, with further growth behind the scenes anticipated. They have also advertised a senior analyst position, reflecting recognition that the Premier League demands greater resources in staffing, infrastructure and preparation.

Le Bris’ side host Chelsea in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light this weekend, with European qualification on the line.
