Sunderland confirm squads for Ronaldinho and Friends at Stadium of Light | OneFootball

Sunderland have confirmed the squads for the Ronaldinho and Friends fixture at the Stadium of Light on 25 May. Jermain Defoe will captain the opposition side on his return to Wearside.

The club said in a statement that fans are encouraged to book early for a day of football and entertainment featuring leading names from the modern era.

Team Defoe includes former Black Cats Patrick van Aanholt, Kevin Phillips, Phil Bardsley and Pascal Chimbonda, alongside Heurelho Gomes, Michael Dawson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aaron Lennon and Jermaine Pennant.

Team Ronaldinho currently features Brazilian greats Ronaldinho, Helton, André Santos, Maicon, Fernando, Gilberto Silva, Fábio Rochemback and Kléberson, plus Kevin-Prince Boateng, Nicklas Bendtner, Djibril Cissé and Phillipe Coutinho.

Tickets remain on sale via Sunderland’s official site, starting at £25 for adults and £20 for concessions. Hospitality is also available, including Quinn’s Sports Bar access and Executive Boxes for groups. The match falls the day after Sunderland’s final game of the season, against Chelsea.
