Sunderland unveil squads for Ronaldinho and Friends at Stadium of Light | OneFootball

Sunderland have confirmed the squads for the Ronaldinho and Friends match at the Stadium of Light on 25 May.

The Ballon d’Or-winning Brazilian will head to Wearside for a friendly alongside a host of former stars. The club said in a statement that supporters were encouraged to secure seats early for a day of football and entertainment featuring some of the biggest modern-era names.

Opposing him will be a side captained by former Black Cats striker Jermain Defoe on his return. Team Defoe is set to feature Patrick van Aanholt, Kevin Phillips, Phil Bardsley, Pascal Chimbonda, Heurelho Gomes, Michael Dawson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aaron Lennon and Jermaine Pennant.

Team Ronaldinho currently includes Ronaldinho, Helton, André Santos, Maicon, Fernando, Gilberto Silva, Fábio Rochemback and Kléberson, plus Kevin-Prince Boateng, Nicklas Bendtner, Djibril Cissé and Phillipe Coutinho.

Tickets remain on sale via Sunderland’s official ticketing website. Prices start at £25 for adults and £20 for concessions, with hospitality also available, including access to Quinn’s Sports Bar and Executive Boxes. The fixture takes place the day after Sunderland’s final game of the season, against Chelsea.
