Sunderland ‘interested in’ Marseille defender Timothy Weah | OneFootball

According to Sport Witness and La Provence, Sunderland are interested in Marseille’s Timothy Weah, the 26-year-old who can play at right-back or right wing-back.

The club have made one signing so far this summer, experienced defender Thomas Meunier, and are reshaping the squad with further additions anticipated in the coming weeks.

The report said Weah joined the Ligue 1 side from Juventus a year ago on loan with an obligation to buy, and mostly featured at right-back or wing-back, scoring three goals and delivering four assists in 41 matches.
