Sunderland have unveiled a new home kit inspired by their 1937 FA Cup final win over Preston North End, and fans moved quickly to buy it.
According to Sunderland Echo, a striking launch campaign featuring Granit Xhaka, Enzo Le Fee and Emily Scarr built anticipation before the shirt went on sale on Wednesday morning.
Supporters headed straight to the club shops at the Stadium of Light and The Bridges, with queues forming within minutes of the release.
The shirt will be worn by Regis Le Bris’ side throughout a historic 2026/27 season.
The launch produced behind-the-scenes imagery from the official shoot, alongside early scenes of fans picking up the new design.
