Sunderland’s psychic pony tips England to lose against Mexico in World Cup last 16

Penshaw’s Princess, the 19-year-old Shetland dubbed Sunderland’s psychic pony, has tipped England to lose to Mexico in the World Cup last 16.

According to Sunderland Echo, staff at Penshaw Equestrian Centre set out two labelled feed bowls to represent win or lose, and she selected the latter.

The pony had correctly called England’s last two matches against Panama and Congo, both ending in wins for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

England face Mexico on Monday in Mexico City, with kick-off at one am UK time.

Pubs across Sunderland are expected to screen the tie after the Government allowed venues to stay open until five am. Supporters will hope the Three Lions defy her latest call.
