Swansea City interested in signing Zutle Waregem’s talented Ghanaian forward | OneFootball

According to HNB, Swansea City are showing serious interest in Zulte Waregem’s Ghanaian talent Joseph Opoku. The young forward had a fantastic debut season in the Belgian Pro League and is said to be keen on a move to the Championship with Swansea. However, no agreement has been made between Swansea and Zulte Waregem just yet.

It is hardly surprising that Swansea would be interested in Opoku. The 20-year-old played 34 games for Zulte Waregem in the top flight of Belgian football last season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. He provided his side with a direct attacking outlet capable of playing up front or out wide.

Losing Opoku to Swansea would be ab ig loss for Zulte Waregem, but not a surprising one given how well he played and his relatively young age. The side have not been that active in the transfer window and would certainly need to shop around for a replacement should Swansea agree a fee for the forward.
