Tamires needed treatment for a head wound after Corinthians beat Bahia 1-0 in the first leg of the Brasileirão Feminino semi-final at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador. The Brabas now hold the advantage in the tie.

According to Meu Timao, the left-back, who wears number 37, was replaced at half-time after a clash of heads at 46 minutes of the first half. She sustained a cut to the centre of her head and received five stitches in the dressing room.

She later showed the injury on social media and joked about adding another cut.

It was not the first such incident. In December 2025, during a Majestoso, Tamires suffered a head cut after accidental contact from Duda Sampaio and again required stitches.

Despite the setback, the expectation is that Tamires remains available for the second leg. The sides meet again on Monday, 21, at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena, where a draw would be enough to send the Brabas into the final.
