Tedesco confirms Rowe out of Bologna squad amid €40m Atalanta interest | OneFootball

Domenico Tedesco says Jonathan Rowe will not be in Bologna’s matchday squad for Monday’s Serie A trip to Atalanta, with transfer talk ongoing.

According to Football Italia, Atalanta have tested Bologna’s resolve with bids rising from €30m to €35m plus bonuses, and are now prepared to go to €40m.

The sides meet in Bergamo on Monday at 19.45 BST. Tedesco added that Rowe is not in the right frame of mind to feature.

Bologna opened the 2026-27 campaign with a 1-0 home defeat to Lazio. Tedesco said it leaves them on zero points, that intensity was lacking despite good training, and that the group is still growing.

He admitted it is difficult to start Riccardo Orsolini and Federico Bernardeschi together. Bernardeschi prefers the wing, and selection on that side will be made weekly. He noted that substitutes around the 60th minute can still provide a lift.
