FLW has looked at some of the players who are potentially susceptible to a St. Andrew's exit
With Birmingham City's Championship season looking as though it has somewhat faded into the abyss, it wouldn't be unexpected to see more changes take place this summer regarding the outlook of the playing squad at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
Chris Davies has continued to be heavily backed throughout both transfer windows this term, but the investment plugged in by Knighthead doesn't seem enough when it comes to mounting a play-off push at the first time of asking.
Whilst some new recruits have impressed, others have massively flattered to deceive, with the prime example being Kyogo Furuhashi, who signed from Stade Rennais in a deal worth up to £10m.
The Japanese international, previously of Celtic, hasn't come close to reaching the heights many expected, and after links of a return to Parkhead or a potential switch to Swansea City in January, the 23-time Japan international looks increasingly likely to exit his current employers after just one season, despite the fact he is now sidelined for the remainder of it.
Whilst the pressure continues to pile on the aforementioned Davies as to whether he will still be the man in the dugout next season after a recent poor run of form, Kyogo isn't likely to be alone when it comes to Blues players who could depart in the upcoming transfer window, and FLW have looked at five names who may fall into said category.

The first of the upcoming quintet is another of Davies' new recruits for the current season, German centre-back, Phil Neumann.
In fairness to the former Hannover 96 man, Blues' defence whenever he has featured alongside captain, Christoph Klarer, has been solid for the most part, but he has recently been displaced by Jack Robinson.
It also remains to be seen whether the club could potentially make a swift profit on his services, as in January, it emerged that the likes of Serie A side, Sassuolo, were interested in signing the 28-year-old.
Given the fact that Blues have also been unable to get close to achieving back-to-back promotions, Neumann may also fancy moving to a top-flight side at this stage of his career also

Another defender who could be on the move is Lee Buchanan, with the defender last featuring competitively for the West Midlands outfit in December 2024, when he suffered a serious ACL injury.
It has been a long road back to full fitness for the 25-year-old, who penned a five-year contract with the club back in July 2023, meaning he still has two years left to run on his deal this summer.
However, with January signing, Kai Wagner, impressing since his switch from Philadeplhia Union and the added competition from Alex Cochrane, it seems logical that Blues could move the ex-Werder Bremen man in the upcoming window, with Davies recently revealing how cautious he has had to be regarding Buchanan's fitness levels.

The aforementioned Kyogo wasn't the only highly-rated Japanese to move to St. Andrew's last summer, although Blues fans have only been able to catch glimpses of what attacking midfielder, Kanya Fujimoto could offer.
Despite his arrival coinciding with a return to fitness after suffering an injury during the final weeks of his spell with Gil Vicente, the 26-year-old has made less than 10 appearances in all competitions.
All of his outings since the turn of 2026 have also come from the substitutes bench, all whilst collecting a rather sizeable wage for such a predicament at £17,500 per week.
As a result, it also seems logical for all parties to come to a decision which would benefit Fujimoto.

Scott Wright has also endured a frustrating personal spell in B9 since signing from Rangers in August 2024.
As well as scoring on his debut against Wigan Athletic in stoppage time, the Scottish winger had shown glimpses of his ability in League One amid two spells out with injury.
Unfortunately for the 28-year-old, the second of those was also the second ACL blow of his career - one which kept him sidelined for the vast majority of 2025 whilst Blues won League One and invested in the likes of Patrick Roberts upon their return to the Championship.
Wright has since spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Dundee FC, and it seems as if there isn't much of a way back as far as his Blues career is concerned as things stand.

The final man making up this quintet is Kyogo's attacking partner, Marvin Ducksch, who was signed from Werder Bremen for £1.75m last August.
Again, the experienced two-cap German international arrived in England with fitness issues, meaning it wasn't until November that he got fully firing in front of goal.
Since then, though, Ducksch has emerged as a key performer for Blues in front of goal, even though his overall in-game performances can be hit-and-miss.
Regardless, Davies recently stated that this, to an extent, is a positive for his team, although it remains to be seen if the 32-year-old sticks around for much longer.
That is because, according to BILD, the likes of AEK Athens and Real Sociedad have expressed an interest in what could be a potential top-flight transfer for the player, although Blues could still turn a profit with the striker under contract until 2028.
