Lazio coach Marco Baroni is expected to make three changes to his starting lineup for Sunday’s big Derby della Capitale against Roma.

Lazio Stunned in Bodo

The Biancocelesti beat Atalanta last weekend to resurrect their Champions League hopes. However, they suffered a 0-2 defeat against Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final.

Lazio Lineup Set for Three Changes

Although the synthetic pitch was used as the main alibi, the discouraging display they put in Norway raised several question marks, so La Lazio Siamo Noi expects the manager to tweak his starting lineup for what will be one of the club’s most pivotal fixtures of the campaign.

Left-Back

The first change is expected at left-back, with Luca Pellegrini getting the nod following his solid outing in Bergamo. The Italian replaced Nuno Tavares who suffered his sixth injury of the season, but he isn’t eligible to play in the Europa League. The Roma youth product’s introduction should move Adam Marusic back to his original right-back slot, with Elseid Hysaj dropped.

The Midfield

In the middle of the park, Matias Vecino will normally make way for Nicolo Rovella after enduring an evening to forget in Bodo. The Uruguayan veteran replaced his younger Italian teammate who was serving a suspension, but the latter will regain his usual spot in midfield alongside Matteo Guendouzi.

The Attack

Finally, Taty Castellanos should return to the starting lineup after his 30-minute cameo on Thursday. The Argentine striker should be fit enough to lead the line, so Boulaye Dia could play in a deeper role, thus relegating Pedro to the bench. Nevertheless, even the Senegalese’s spot is under threat, as Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is pushing for a starting role.

Lazio (4-2-3-1): Mandas; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Rovella; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni; Castellanos.
