FC Barcelona are certain to enter the market for a new centre-forward in the summer of 2026.

The Catalans do not plan on renewing the contract of Robert Lewandowski, which expires at the end of the ongoing season, and will thus need to bring in a replacement for the veteran superstar.

Marquee names like Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland have been mentioned as targets, but such signings might not be a possibility given the financial reality of the club at the moment.

A number of other alternatives are being monitored by the sporting department, led by director Deco, with Alfredo Martinez of SPORT confirming three names on the club’s radars – Dusan Vlahovic, Etta Eyong, and Fisnik Asllani.

Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus)

Vlahovic is seen as a market opportunity at Barcelona, considering that his contract with Juventus expires at the end of the season and there are no indications of a renewal at this stage.

The towering Serbian would thus be available for a free transfer in the summer. Even though he has had his ups and downs, Vlahovic could be an enticing option, considering his age (25), proven pedigree and experience at the highest level, and his contract situation.

Etta Eyong (Levante)

The young Cameroonian forward was on Barcelona’s radar last summer as well, but the club’s Fair Play situation meant that they did not go ahead with his signing and he ended up joining Levante from Villarreal.

Eyong has continued to shine at his new club, with Barcelona keeping a close eye on his development. Despite having a €30 million release clause in his contract, he could be available for a much lesser fee.

Fisnik Asllani (TSG Hoffenheim)

The newest name on the shortlist, Asllani has been making an impression in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, with four goals and an assist from seven matches so far this term.

Seen as more of a hybrid attacker than a pure centre-forward, the Kosovan international has admitted that Barcelona are his dream club, and he could be available for a reasonable fee come summer of 2026.
