FC Bayern is already facing its first injury concerns. Two young talents have been sidelined; Tim Binder was injured during preseason training. There’s now an update on his condition.

The young offensive player, who had made a name for himself during the preseason, suffered a torn muscle fiber. That was quite a blow, as he would have had the chance to get his first taste of the pro squad in the Super Cup or at the start of the Bundesliga season.

According toSky, however, things are looking good for him. The injury is healing well, and he’s expected to be back on the field training as early as the week after next.

FC Bayern: Cardozo’s diagnosis is still pending

This means Tim Binder’s comeback won’t be far off either. Meanwhile, FC Bayern is still waiting for a diagnosis regarding Maycon Cardozo, who also impressed during preseason.

The young Brazilian is known for his strong dribbling skills, his enthusiasm for the game, and his willingness to take risks. These are qualities that also impress Vincent Kompany. However, Cardozo was injured on Saturday during the 2-0 win in Illertissen—specifically, he injured his shoulder. There were immediate fears of a serious injury because the player was substituted with a pained expression on his face, and an ambulance had to be called.

So Cardozo may be facing a prolonged absence. A thorough examination will be conducted again on Monday at Säbener Straße. Only then will there be an official diagnosis, and only then will it be known how long the young attacking player will have to sit out.

Cardozo is expected to play primarily for the reserve team, but he’ll continue to train with the first team and, depending on the schedule and roster, may occasionally be called up to the first-team roster.
