Torres turns down Arsenal and Spurs in favour of PSG move | OneFootball

Ferran Torres has turned down interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in favour of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Torres has reached an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward keen to reunite with former Spain manager Luis Enrique. Enrique gave Torres his international debut and is keen to reunite with the 26-year-old, as the European champions overhaul their frontline.

PSG have sold Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani and Lee Kang-in this summer, while Bradley Barcola remains subject of strong interest from Liverpool.

TEAMtalk are reporting that Torres has reached an agreement on personal terms with PSG, who have informed Barcelona that a formal offer is imminent. PSG are hoping to strike an agreement for around €50m (£42.8m) for the forward, who has less than 12 months on his contract at the Camp Nou.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur had both hoped to coax the former Manchester City player back to the Premier League, but conversations with Enrique have persuaded Torres to turn down England.

Barcelona are reluctant to sanction his sale until a replacement is found, having already lost Robert Lewandowski this summer. The La Liga champions have been frustrated in attempts to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.
