Toulouse turned down €33m offer from Sunderland for Dayann Methalie | OneFootball

Toulouse FC are reported to have turned down a €33m bid from AFC Sunderland for Dayann Methalie (20), according to information from journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The French club’s management reportedly did not consider the offer satisfactory, whilst previous reports suggested they had set a price tag worth €30m for the young left-back. Methalie, who has already agreed to join the Black Cats, is therefore expected to be the subject of further discussions between the various parties in the coming hours.

If he were to leave Toulouse in the coming days, he would become the club’s biggest ever sale.

Under contract with Téfécé until 2029, Methalie has enjoyed an outstanding first season at the professional level, already establishing himself as a key figure in the French league.

Having started 24 of the 30 matches he played for Les Violets, the club where he came through the ranks, across all competitions, the French Under-21 international stood out with two goals and two assists.
