Trabzonspor reach agreement with Saint-Étienne for Benjamin Bouchouari | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Trabzonspor have reached an agreement with Ligue 2 side AS Saint-Étienne to sign Benjamin Bouchouari (23).

Saint-Étienne had been keen to cash in on the Moroccan youth international this summer, with the midfielder in the final year of his contract. There had been interest in the summer with Trabzonspor rivalled by La Liga side Girona.

However, with the Spanish transfer window shutting on Monday and the Turkish one remaining open until the 12th, Trabzonspor have now had free rein to secure their target, agreeing a €4m deal (plus €1m in bonuses). Bouchouari is reportedly on his way to Turkey, where he will attend his medical later today.

The midfielder will leave Les Verts having made 96 appearances across the top two tiers of French football since first arriving in 2022 from Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade. Last summer, he represented his national side at the Paris Olympics, bringing home a bronze medal.
