Trent and Palmer return as Tuchel names latest England squad | OneFootball

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer have received England call-ups from manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of the autumn international break.

The German coach named a 27-man squad for UEFA Nations League matches against Spain, Czechia and Croatia. The Three Lions will face the Czechs home and away as part of an extended window that lasts three weeks.

Both Alexander-Arnold and Palmer return to the England set-up after being left out of the squad that finished third at the FIFA World Cup in North America this past summer.

Rio Ngumoha could make his competitive debut for the national team after receiving a surprise call-up. The Liverpool winger, who was a member of the preparation squad for the World Cup, made his first international appearance in a friendly against New Zealand in June.

Alex Scott could earn his first England cap after earning a recall for his impressive performances for Bournemouth. The midfielder received his first call-up last year, but didn’t play.

Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly have also been recalled to the squad. Everton‘s Jarrad Branthwaite is also back in the squad after a long spell on the sidelines with injury.
