Two more high-profile names pull out of England squad | OneFootball

Declan Rice and Tino Livramento have joined Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo in withdrawing from Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The England Football Association confirmed on Monday that all five players have been ruled out of the four-match international window.

Palmer had been expected to withdraw due to load management, while Rashford was set to be assessed over a hip issue that has been managed by Manchester United since the World Cup. Mainoo was also among the players expected to miss out through injury.

The reasons for Rice and Livramento’s withdrawals have not been specified by the FA.

The withdrawals leave Tuchel without five members of the 27-man squad originally selected for the September and October fixtures, with England set to face Spain, Czechia and Croatia.

Morgan Gibbs-White and James Garner have subsequently been called up as replacements and will join the rest of the squad on Tuesday.

Gibbs-White had been on a family holiday in Dubai after playing in Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 Premier League defeat by Coventry City on Saturday, but has now returned to England to report for international duty.

Garner, meanwhile, could be in line for his third cap.
