Union Berlin announce contract extension for striker | OneFootball

1. FC Union Berlin have announced that Andrej Ilić has signed a contract extension with the club.

The German capital club confirmed the renewal on Thursday wthout disclosing the exact length of the striker's new contract.

“I have felt very comfortable at Union since day one,” said Ilić, who has played for Union since 2024. 

“The team, the fans, and the entire environment made my arrival easy and gave me great trust. That is why I am very happy to continue my path here. I believe that together we can achieve a lot and I want to contribute to ensuring that Union is successful in the future as well. For me, this contract extension is a sign of mutual appreciation and I am very happy about it.”

Union Berlin managing director of men's professional football Horst Heldt commented:

“Andrej has quickly developed into an important part of our team. He possesses the qualities that characterise a modern striker: presence, assertiveness, goal threat, and at the same time the willingness to work for the team.
