Upamecano delivers clear verdict on Olise's future

Dayot Upamecano has played down talk of Michael Olise leaving Bayern Munich, amid mounting reports of Real Madrid interest.

According to BuLi News, the France defender was asked if he had urged his team-mate to remain in Munich. He replied: "He's staying, he's staying."

The remarks come as suggestions grow that Madrid are monitoring Olise after an impressive season at Bayern and a strong World Cup with France.

Signed from Crystal Palace last summer, the Ballon d'Or candidate has rapidly become one of Vincent Kompany's standout attackers, noted for creativity, dribbling and end product.

Upamecano's comments do not amount to official confirmation of Olise's plans, but they highlight confidence within the Bayern dressing room that the winger will remain at the Allianz Arena.
