Vasco announce the signing of Cuiabano on loan from Nottingham Forest with 10 million euros option | OneFootball

Vasco have completed the loan signing of left-back Cuiabano from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season, with a 10 million euros option to buy that would extend the deal to December 2030, the club said in a statement.

He arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, passed his medical and signed on Saturday.

The player said the club’s project convinced him and, after discussing it with his family, he felt it offered continuity. He added that returning to Brazil removes any adaptation concerns, noting long-standing friendships from youth national teams, and he is eager to make his debut and feel the supporters’ energy.

Vasco’s interest dates back to early January. Despite Lucas Piton being first choice at left-back, the board sought extra cover for the rest of the campaign.

Developed at Grêmio and impressive at Botafogo, Cuiabano belongs to Nottingham Forest but has played little in England. His desire to return to Brazil was a key factor in moving talks forward.
