Víctor JR has left Levante for Valencia’s reserve side after a season on loan. According to Superdeporte, Valencia exercised a 100,000 euros option and agreed a contract to 2029, trimming Levante’s wage bill by shedding a disproportionate salary.
His Levante career amounted to five minutes, a matchday seven cameo in 24/25 against Almería at the Ciutat de València, before he fell out of Julián Calero’s plans. Felipe Miñambres had championed his arrival, prising him from Valladolid’s Juvenil amid strong competition.
The deal he signed in 2024 through to 2028 carried unaffordable numbers, higher than many who helped secure promotion at El Plantío. The player was not to blame, but he declined a drop to Atlético Levante and turned down loans during a lack of minutes, staying with the first team until Valencia persuaded him to join their B.
On loan in 25/26 he impressed at the Antonio Puchades, scoring 11 goals with three assists to finish as Valencia’s second top scorer. Those returns convinced the club to make the move permanent.
With his signature now complete, Víctor JR begins a new chapter across the city. In Orriols there is no doubt over his talent, yet freeing an ill suited contract is seen as the best outcome for all.
