Villarreal have surpassed 19,000 season-ticket holders ahead of their return to La Cerámica, the club said in a statement.
The push comes with the Iñigo Pérez era beginning and a Champions League return, after a complicated summer off the pitch. The club had around 19,500 last season.
Exceeding 19,000 is close to the realistic cap for members, with allocations kept for UEFA duties, general sale, away fans and operations, so the total can never match full capacity.
La Cerámica now holds 23,173 after summer works.
Upgrades target internal circulation, access, safety and evacuation, with new distribution corridors and additional vomitories to better manage matchday movement.
Some elements remain unfinished, including the walkway tied to the new dressing-room area, and the project will continue in the coming months without halting the team’s homecoming.
The away section is being reorganised to house a visiting sector alongside home supporters, improving space use and increasing options for the yellow faithful.
Re-seating has been demanding, with many holders changing seats, yet the count above 19,000 underlines the backing in a city of just over 50,000. Deportivo de A Coruña visit on Saturday after three away league games due to the works.
