According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Villarreal held their traditional end-of-season lunch at Estadio de la Cerámica, celebrating back-to-back UEFA Champions League qualification. Focus also turned to the final day, when Atlético de Madrid visit with third place at stake.

The entire first-team squad attended with the coaching staff, offering a glimpse of life off the pitch. Players arrived in a mix of smart, casual and summery outfits.

President Fernando Roig and chief executive Fernando Roig Negueroles were joined by Miguel Ángel Tena, Marcos Senna and board members. Also present were Fede Alcácer, the club’s general director, and Juan Antón, commercial director.

Institutional guests included Vila-real mayor José Benlloch and representatives of the Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal. Sponsors shared tables with staff from Villarreal B, Villarreal C and Villarreal Femenino, reinforcing the club’s family feel.

Following tradition, gold badges were awarded to new sponsors Ambar Triple Zero, Smalticeram and Sicer. The newest board members, Manuel Montaña, Adolfo Andreu and Juan Carlos Malabia, were also recognised, along with employees marking 20 years of service.

The message was simple, focus now sharpens on the final outing. The squad want more and will look to sign off, in Marcelino’s farewell, with a home win.
