Galatasaray will have no away allocation for the Champions League last-16 second leg at Anfield on March 18, after their ticket ban was upheld by UEFA’s Appeals Body. The absence of travelling support adds to their challenge against Liverpool.

The sanctions follow fan incidents during the away game at Juventus on February 25. The club were fined €40,000 and ordered to play their next European away match without their own supporters, a decision they appealed.

That appeal has been rejected by UEFA’s Appeals Body. Reports from Turin indicated serious crowd trouble, including allegations that a man and his daughter were injured when a firework was launched towards home supporters.

On the pitch, Galatasaray came through a 7-5 aggregate playoff against Juventus and beat Liverpool 1-0 in Istanbul during the league phase. Facing Liverpool at Anfield without an away end changes the dynamic.

"I mean to be honest with you, meeting Liverpool now is going to be like some sort of revenge. If they come, yeah, we’re going to dig it out but it’s not going to be easy." He told CBS Sports.

Despite the ban, Galatasaray’s confidence remains high after overturning a three-goal deficit and scoring twice in extra time to oust Juventus. Liverpool’s recent inconsistency includes a 2-1 defeat to bottom club Wolves.
